Scriptural - all
that we do will be centered on our conviction that all Scripture is
breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for
correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God
may be competent, equipped for every good work. - 2 Tim 3:16-17, ESV
Sacramental - Baptism and Communion (the
Eucharist) along with the confessions and creeds of the church form
and order our worship.
Spirit-Filled -
we believe all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the Church in
every age and expect that they will be manifest in our lives together
in worship and private ministry.
Small Groups - the Christian life is not to be lived in isolation,
but rather in community. Small groups form the foundation for that
community as we devote ourselves to the teaching of God's Word and
serving one another. (Acts 2:42-47)
Sending Out to
the Nations - The River exists to spread the glory of God
to the nations! We believe that God has called us to make disciples
of all nations (Matt. 28:19-20). Therefore we want to be active in
missions to our neighbors, our nation and to the nations! We labor
looking to the day that we are all gathered around the throne of God
from EVERY tribe, EVERY tongue and EVERY nation. (Rev. 7:9-10)
