Our Statement of Faith:
As a member of the AMiA and the Worldwide Anglican Communion, we endorse the
statements that have come out of this relationship, including the seven
ecumenical councils of the undivided church. The primary Christian statements
come in the form of the Nicene (quoted below) and Apostles' Creeds.
Nicene Creed:
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Strategy:
Care Groups - The focus of the
care group is making disciples! Discipleship is "a process that takes place
within accountable relationships over a period of time for the purpose of
bringing believers to spiritual maturity in Christ" Discipleship consists of
four stages according to Dr. Webber, they are conversion, discipleship,
spiritual formation, and Christian vocation (i.e. serving others).
Conversion involves a change
in belief, belonging and behavior. Thus, we are
seeking to teach right doctrine so
that people might know God rightly. We are seeking to connect
people to the family of God through a relationship to
Christ and the Church. This means that each person has a growing personal
relationship with Christ. It also means that they are seeking to use their
gift(s) within the body in order to serve others. (Matt. 22:36-40) Finally we
are seeking to send out into the world
people who live to the glory of God in such a way that other will want to know
Christ.(Eph. 2:8-10)
Celebration: This is the
corporate gathering of disciples for the purpose of praise, proclamation,
prayers and partaking of the sacraments. Worship is intended to immerse us into
the Gospel message. This is the best day of the week - it is the Sabbath rest.
This pattern was established by God in the creation, commanded in the Fourth
Commandment and confirmed by Christ at the Last Supper.
